Road Apple Saddlery began approximately 30 years ago as a leather company that made custom saddles and horse tack as well as saddle repairs and custom leather products. About 1998 Native American dancers first asked for custom regalia items; belts, ankle bells, side drops, etc. Since that time Road Apple has been attending powwows in the Northwest to display those and other items and to take custom orders for dancers and their families.

Unfortunately, today's life styles and obligations reduce the available time that family members have to make regalia themselves. Unfortunately, too, some families have lost the leather skills but have retained the customs, traditions and dances. I am proud to be able to provide these items and be a small part of those traditions.
